Coordinator Provide professional knowledge and expertise in the administration and implementation of risk management, environmental health and safety programs throughout the university community. Administrative: Ø Participate and lead teams in Business Process Redesign (BPR). Ø Draft and implement policy, including SOP’s and the Safety & Loss Control Manual. Ø Respond, investigate and follow up on liability claims and property losses. Ø Manage UWG workers’ compensation program. Ø Serve on University Technology Security Committee. Safety: Ø Provide safety training to campus. Ø Investigate and follow up on incidents and concerns on campus. Ø Lead and participate in efforts in life safety, laboratory safety, occupational & environmental safety, shop safety, food safety, event safety, and contractor safety on campus. Ø Conduct on-site safety assessments, job hazard analyses, and building inspections. Ø Serve on the University Safety Committee. Environmental: Ø Manage universal waste and battery recycling efforts on campus. Ø Assist with hazardous waste management and indoor environmental quality concerns. Ø Manage remediation efforts such as asbestos abatement or water events.
