Assistant Director of Business Services

·      Responsible for the business operations within the Office of the Controller.

·      Responsible for the reviewing, writing and implementing of business policies.

·      Coordinate and participate in business improvements to support the business operation of the University.

·      Serve as the financial liaison for the UWG Real Estate Foundation, Inc.

·      Serve as Campus Coordinator and Certified Trainer for PeopleSoft Financials Version 8.9 project upgrade.

·      Serve as liaison for the Office of the Controller in providing training and business policy updates to campus faculty and staff.

 

University Controller

·        Responsible for the operations of Accounting Services, Accounts Payable and Student Financial Services.

·        Responsible for the financial reporting of the University using Peoplesoft Financials.

·        Interpreted and implemented Federal, State and Board of Regents’ policies and procedures as they related to the finances of the University.

·        Established goals and objectives for the operational units within the Office of the Controller.

·        Served on various committees and teams as a financial representative for University matters. 

·        Directly supervise 2 managers and indirectly supervise an additional 15 full-time employees.

 

Assistant Director of Purchasing

  • Using PeopleSoft Financials, reviewed and approved all purchase orders.
  • Prepared and solicited bids for projects greater than $10,000.
  • Administered Procurement Card Program.
  • Developed institutional processes and procedures to facilitate the purchasing process and assisted user departments in interpreting policies.
  • Responsible for the operations of Purchasing Services, Central Warehouse/Receiving, Asset Management, Accounts Payable and Reimbursement of Travel Expenditures.
  • Completed quarterly and annual reports as required.
  • Participated in special projects deemed necessary for the successful operation of the department.

 

Property Control Officer/Internal Auditor

  • Performed a variety of auditing tasks such as verifying cash receipts, public safety decals, and auditing ticket selling events.
  • Performed petty cash counts and revenue comparisons.
  • Decaled new equipment and updated inventory system.
  • Prepared all paperwork for transferring items on campus, to surplus, and to other agencies.
  • Responsible for keeping a record of all vehicle titles.
  • Responsible for preparing the annual physical facilities report and submitting to the Board of Regents.
