Construction
Carpentry -
The Carpenter Shop is responsible for new construction and renovations to offices
and classrooms. We build bookcases, corkboards, dry erase boards, cabinets (display,
trophy, storage etc.), shelves, limited furniture, and limited signage. We also
install doors and trim work.
Requesting Carpentry work - You may submit a request online
by selecting Work request under “quick picks” on the Campus planning &
Facilities home page or you may email your request to wic@westga.edu.
The work center will process your request and reply by email with a work request
number. Please save this number, as you will need to make an inquiry regarding
your requested work.
Inquiring about status of Work request - You may email or call
the work information center (678-839-6311) to inquire about the status of
your work request. For an immediate response you will need your work request
number.
Out Plant Services - The Out Plant Shop builds new and repairs existing
sidewalks, parking lots, steps, handrails, handicap pathways, and walking trails.
We also grade for landscaping projects, dig trenches for the installation of
utility lines and also handle most of the construction that is done on the grounds
of the campus.
Requesting repairs - You may submit
a request online by selecting Work request under “quick picks” on the Campus
planning & Facilities home page or you may email your request to wic@westga.edu.
After the work information center has processed your request they will email
a work request number.
