2007 Organizational Trust Survey Results

During the final week of January 2007, a survey on Organizational Trust was administered to all Campus Planning and Facility (CP&F) personnel.  Co-workers from the work areas that comprise CP&F (i.e. Custodial Services, Landscaping and Grounds, HVAC, General Maintenance, Electrical Shop/Special Events, In-Plant, Out-Plant, Administration, Planning and Development, Motor Pool, Move Crew, RM/EHS and the Work Information Center) were provided with time at the beginning of the work day to complete the survey and offer their suggestions for improvement.

Following, are the results of that survey:

  • Ninety-five employees (71%) were in agreement that the organization is supportive of one another.  Due to the increase in employees taking this assessment (17), there were 10 additional responses in agreement but it is an overall 2% decrease in ratio from the previous assessment.
  • Departmental comparisons to the previous year reflect a shift of 7 employees in Landscaping and Grounds from the Agree category to Undecided.   
  • Electrical Shop/Special Events reflects a shift of 4 employees from the Disagree category to the Undecided.
  • The total employees disagreeing with this statement decreased by 4 from the previous assessment while the total number taking the assessment increased by 17 (15%).
  • CP&D had 3 more responding than in the last assessment.

  • In the 11-15 year group, responses agreeing to this statement increased by 32% since the last assessment while the most senior employees reverted back to the ’05 level with a 20% decrease.

§         The overall ratio in agreement increased by 1%.

§         The number of undecided responses increased by 4.

§         Electrical Shop/Special Events shifted their responses from 3 in disagreement to 1 and doubled their responses in agreement to 6.

§         Out-Plant shifted their responses from undecided and disagree to agree.

§         Custodial Services realized an increase of 7 in the agree responses and 4 in undecided.  Disagree responses remained at 3.

§         The number of undecided responses in custodial services decreased by 4 and shifted into agreed responses.

§         The administrative areas of RM/EHS, CP&D, and CP&F were 100% in agreement.
