Systems Analyst/Programmer – Business and Finance Division

Responsible for developing Internet/Intranet, Client based and stand-alone applications for the Business and Finance Division of the university. These systems include Web based Departmental Budget reports, Division wide Web pages, automated phone system for human resources, Document management and imaging system, Web based time and attendance, PO processing for Purchasing and warehouse, Web based parking appeals system for Public Safety, Data warehousing to import mainframe legacy information into a LAN based RDMS. Also perform Database Administration on SQL server 2000 and 2005 Database servers. Provide integration services between the PeopleSoft financials application and legacy applications. Deal directly with VP’s, AVP’s and Directors on planning. Conduct Analysis, design, development, implementation, training and support for all systems.

My duties as a software developer included Client Server Retail automation systems using C and a RAD tool called MAGIC. These systems included Back Office Management, Fast Food Distribution, and Retail Stock Management systems. We used Object Oriented Design and development techniques on a SCO UNIX platform.

Systems Analyst/Programmer

Served as a Computer Systems Analyst/Programmer responsible for the analysis, configuration and Installation of the I.C.C. Manufacturing Execution System “SFDM” at customer sites worldwide. Successfully developed project investigation studies, project implementation plans, and custom SFDM program transactions using C. The operating system platform was HPUX running on HP900 servers. Oracle was used as the database management system.

1991 – 1995    The Allen Group Inc. Tempe , AZ

Project Manager/Analyst/Programmer

Successfully developed numerous custom systems for companies in the continental US. Systems developed and implemented included, Bar-code shop floor control systems, bar code labeling systems, Manufacturing control systems and labor control. These systems were primarily developed for manufacturing environments, but I also developed inventory management systems for major Hotel/Casino operations in Las Vegas and Reno , and a labor management system for an aircraft maintenance company. These systems utilized both conventional wire and wireless technology. Duties included configuring and installing Computer hardware on a SCO UNIX platform, design and development of computer software, Installation and training. Complete cradle to grave project life cycle as project manager.

Successfully maintained Server hardware as well as the Production, Stock, On-line Catalog, Manifest, Inventory Import and Production Bonus systems on the Servers. Provided system support to end users, outlined developed and maintained system backup procedures, designed and developed programs for system upgrades and modifications. Maintained all computer related hardware software and cabling. Budgeted and purchased all computer supplies for entire company and provided management reports as necessary.
